Niggling thought of the day:
Why are doctors saying that this week GMC made patients less safe?
Why were patients still safe when #BawaGarba got convicted of gross negligent manslaughter, but we're not now she's been struck off?
Does loss of career hold more fear than conviction?

It’s more that the “surely someone will see what really happened here” expectation is dead in water. Plus lots more doctors on this platform in past 12-18mo. And more facts have emerged, making context of events clearer, & all of us only one badly-staffed shift away from same.

That's a fair observation about more facts emerging. Although I'm being told those facts include confirmation of her guilt, it's becoming increasingly apparent that 'system issues' and the consultant's inaction have been noticeably sidelined from proceedings. I think that's wrong

I've been reflecting on your 'Surely someone will see what really happened here' point. I think you may be right. Plus, docs have been so used to the overwhelming firepower of their legal support 'dealing' with any challenge, perhaps they just expected it to go away? Not sure..
