I like that thinking. It has real merit. From now on, whenever Twitter overwhelms me I'm going to ask myself: 'What would Steven do?' (No kidding). Suspect I may spend a lot more time outside - which can only be a healthy thing. :)

You don't have to read, or answer, every comment. Can't enter every debate. Perhaps try limiting yourself to, for example, 30 minutes a day. Between that turn off & put away. (I might have to try following my own advice!)

Haha! That's the problem, isn't it? Can be easier said than done. I seem to be ok at diving in and walking away I can manage. 'Toe-dipping', not so much.

At one time I unfollowed nearly everyone, as I thought I should spend less time reading about other people's lives & more time living my own. But I crept back. I'm aware that I don't read as many books as used to, & I love books

Not for the lack of trying then? I have a pile of unread books I've accumulated too actually. In fact, saying that has just made me realise something - I've got one belonging to
@katemasters67 somewhere!!! Oh no - I'd be in for a hell of a fine if she were a library. Sorry Kate!! -
you’ve just reminded me you have it! .. chuckle .. :)

I'm terribly embarrassed now the thought has hit me. I hate it when people do things like that to me. I'm so sorry!!

LOL. I am only on here because I am unemployed and physically incapacitated at present too! I don't know how anyone with an actual life keeps up!!

Beats the hell out of me how people can do both for any period of time - unless your job pays you to tweet for a living. I stopped working to do it for a while. But that gets expensive *real* fast. Not that you'll need me to be telling you that, of course!

Add in legal fees to no income....

Short and curlies. It's no wonder they get away with so much crap. Sorry...

I try and follow
@CalmHolmes advice here now. I now have set times for Twitter and have taken it off my phone so I don't keep jumping on -
It's the way to go, clearly. :)

Like a swimming pool, 'dip in', jump out, sometimes be a 'swimmer' sometimes a spectator. Oh and watch out for the 'wave machines' they're exhausting...
