Niggling thought of the day:
Why are doctors saying that this week GMC made patients less safe?
Why were patients still safe when #BawaGarba got convicted of gross negligent manslaughter, but we're not now she's been struck off?
Does loss of career hold more fear than conviction?

ZHH The incident was in 2011?

I believe so? Not sure what other coverage there was, but there was this from 2017 which should've been more than enough to set alarm bells ringing if required.https://twitter.com/c7rky/status/956889953031598080 …

I was certainly aware of the case in 2015, so it has been in the public domain since at least then. I welcome the debate, but it is the tone of some of the debate that is worrying, esp attacks family & sense that all Drs are beyond question.

The debate was certainly needed, but you're right - it has exposed a rather ugly underbelly of the medical world in the process. The attitudes which brought us to this point have been more visible than usual during this time.
