Of course views all mine. All without prejudice. Just a regular chap after all. Oh...and RT's may equally imply ridicule as endorsement.

Sadly i came to the (hiden) lcp seeing it used to kill my mother & cover up bad lawyers trying to steal her home. The lcp is abused for many reasons & vices. The ex coroner of chester is corrupt and other crimes have been done by using the lcp. The is being done all over the uk.pic.twitter.com/LUgZB7GUYK

The eol is a complex area. Human nature is sadly weak. If you could prevent crimes using the lcp and ....but you cant. @ChrisM4Chester why are healthy babies being dehydrated & cremated in chester. What did the police find.... That is the prob with eol. Why did eldey get killed 4

I don’t wade into the LCP debate much, it was relevant to Mum but DNACPR more so. It’s also painful because I truly thought they’d sent the wrong person’s forms to us, they were so far from the truth re mum’s last few days.

If the patient info was given, it’s helpful. @SRthorpehall have great leaflets explaining things like what actually happens, the death rattle etc. Really useful to non medical people. (Sorry I’ve put them in a box otherwise I’d post, they really are good)

Because of the unpredictable nature of dying MDT assessment wasn’t reliable, and one doctor making a decision about something so final always sits uneasy. I’ve always found language like ‘achieved’ and ‘variance’ unhelpful as it implies a done deal.

agree. That's why I'm a bit obsessed with language in palliative care. My team think I'm a bit OTT but lots of words banned (like 'bedblocker' or 'acopia')

I for one am glad to hear you're obsessed with language. Particularly in the palliative field, where many will already be fearful, without confusing or ill-chosen words thrown into the mix. Is this reliant on someone like you taking an interest, Mark? Or is it part of training?
