Yes, the people psychoanalysing them could be causing the patient to react in a violent way by use of derogatory comments or over medication causing confusion and anger. Yet with so many medical notes going walk about who can say!

How does that work John? Struggling to see how separating two causes anything tangible to change. Maybe I'm just being dense.

It's more about explaining the current situation than changing it tbh. It's the reason why we can be told they're 'our records', yet someone like
@MadeInBedlam gets threatened with police if we try to take them home. -
I was still in my ‘home’. I lived in ‘supported accommodation’ (Christ what an Orwellian term). I removed them from an unlocked drawer in the living room (anyone could have nicked them), and put them in my room. FFS I tried to make my notes secure.

I confess I'm less familiar with the dynamics in that environment. But it shouldn't affect your basic rights.
@medconsent knows a lot more about this subject than I though. Wonder if she has any thoughts? -
Just a mo you were threatened with arrest when you took your confidential records from a communal (public) area and placed them in a move secure location which the staff could still access? That's ridiculous Regardless of ownership the confidentiality angle is worrying
-
Indeed. They stored (and still do as far as I know) our medical records IN THE LIVING ROOM. It was terrifying.

All I can say is WHAT THE ABSOLUTE F!

Shocking disregard for personal dignity. And whatever for?
