A lot of professionals are totally paranoid that we will edit recordings or play them out of context, publish them & mistrepresent causing damage to their reputations. Overestimates my technical skill & assumes pts are dishonest & will break law

of what? Either they have the conviction of their competence or they don't. The world is not full of nasty patients seeking to destroy professionals for goodness sake. It's in everyone's interests to have an open and shared record.

Well we all know what happens when we record. Doctors try to delete and jack shit gets done.

The fact that your recordings haven't provoked a sacking, or at least a resignation is an affront to justice Allyn. Aside from any criminal aspect. But imagine if all those in our position had tapes like yours. Now *that* would be hard to ignore.

Did you not know that it is acceptable practice to conspire to delete recorded evidence of failings and attempt to delete a families recording. This is accepted practice in the NHS with no accountability and every NHS staff who knows about it is happy it goes on.

Sorry to be coarse, but information governance IME is the source of huge amount of fuckery, designed to protect the organisation (meaning the leadership) & most certainly NOT the patient (or even the clinicians)

Too right! The manifestation of that under Tim Kelsey was quite a sight to behold though. I'm not up to date, but the deception attached to http://care.data was astonishing. Literally makes me not want to tell doctors info now. I shit you not, (if we're being coarse).
