Of course views all mine. All without prejudice. Just a regular chap after all. Oh...and RT's may equally imply ridicule as endorsement.

Just how many people do you really think start out with the intention of pursuing aggressive complaint/litigation/GMC action, David? About the same as the number of clinicians who set out each day to harm patients, ime. None. It's a last resort for most, not a first step.

Very sad that this still has to be stated, pointed out. Very sad indeed. 😮

The attitudes and culture you encountered at Mid Staffs don't appear to have suffered the crushing blow we'd all hoped Deb. :(

I've met so many many over last decade all trying to ensure lessons learned means just that. I think it's an ongoing journey. Culture didn't deteriorate over night, will take time to change in some areas. Much more in public domain, discussed, than once was.

Twitter helps. For one thing, we're able to compare notes and expose common underhand tactics used against us in a way that was impossible previously. But as this shows, that's not all we can learn. Plenty still to be done. 😕

Surely some still can't be at this point? Honestly, it's so disheartening. 🙁

Sad, very sad to hear that. Appears some 'play to the gallery'. One common denominator with bereaved families ime, it's not all the about 'them', but about deceased loved ones.

Yes it is a power game. Until drs consider our loved ones to be equal to them, + theirs, they can justify anything.

Excellent point John. With the above logic should Dr Ian Paterson have been outed? Duty of candour, proper investigations etc make the NHS safer for everyone. Look at Ombusdmans decisions, NHS investigations can be seriously flawed unfortunately.
