Thanks @neilgchurchill Good work progressing on @leder_team programme but more to do. I’ll need to seek out a more recent update re mental health workstream as I’m not directly working on that element.

Hi John. Yes I did some of the later public discussions about http://care.data Our team do a lot of involvement work across all areas of NHS - aim is always to bring together different views and create space for dialogue

... and the training?

Everyone in the team has their own personal development plan. We learn together, share skills, evaluate the work we do, the feedback we get and the outcomes achieved. My professional background is in community development.

So which of those activities would you say best equips your team to handle pts/relatives who are often traumatised, angry and keen to draw attention to specific information about their own experiences which led to those feelings? Especially given the added fuel of cover-ups.

Being human. Being compassionate. Being skilled in bringing different perspectives together. Amplifying people's experiences within. We also work with partners to bring in specialist counselling and support as appropriate to the work we're involved in.

And we don't always get everything right but we do learn when we get things wrong.

Thank you Olivia...

Thanks for your interest and questions. Social media is one route through which I am accountable for the work we do and the approaches we take. I'm always open to taking on new ideas and suggestions
