Of course views all mine. All without prejudice. Just a regular chap after all. Oh...and RT's may equally imply ridicule as endorsement.

On the day when Irish declassified documents tell us MI5 tried to arrange assassination of the Irish PM, I can't see a single mention on BBC or Sky News headlines. Jamie & Louise Redknapp's divorce makes Sky's front page though. #IgnorantByDesignhttps://twitter.com/thehistorian15/status/946700547024855040 …

Interesting that the UVF wrote to then Taoiseach, Charlie Haughey, informing him that they were asked by MI5 to “execute” him. pic.twitter.com/QEGu1cze6g

I think it may be a condition? Almost akin to witnessing a car accident happening - horrible to watch, but just don't seem to be able to look away...

I know exactly what you mean but I have had to stop watching most 'politics & current affairs' programmes because of their blatant bias &/or censorship by omission.

I'm right with you. I only watch such things now to find out what the latest line is they'd like me to swallow tbh. But so blatantly ignoring this particular story is a grim example, even by their normal deplorable standards.

An excellent plan. With just 2 small flaws: 1. You have to know the story exists to search for it. 2. You have to know the story exists to search for it. #RedDwarf fans will understand...

Not sure how we csn ensure that you're immediately aware of every news story. Science hasn't yet got that far. In the meantime you could read the news or change the settings in your newsfeed.

Do you really think the British Empire cared much about how it was perceived by the peoples of subject nations?

Guess not. But I do think such attitudes serve to highlight the stark difference between the British Empire and the British people.

Narrative wouldn't hold up if they weren't, I suppose. Social media's proving to be a real thorn though. Hence its demonisation at every opportunity.

No, they really don't, do they? And whoever let the plebs have a fully functioning networking tool in Twitter must be getting spanking behind the scenes somewhere. It's not all cat videos & selfies.
