Of course views all mine. All without prejudice. Just a regular chap after all. Oh...and RT's may equally imply ridicule as endorsement.

Current debate on cases like #BawaGarba, #simonbramhall and the subsequent piece by Henry Marsh is truly enlightening. The divide between what patients and clinicians regards as acceptable has never been more obvious, (or more terrifying for informed patients).

Clinicians often have very different opinions ,so do families . To those dedicated to finding solutions to the many issues raised repeatedly, there will be/are solutions. More care and respect to those bereaved by failings could be addressed swiftly and also WB protection.

Speed is of the essence, I agree. Further patients are placed in harms way by every single day of foot-dragging, obfuscation and lies. Defensive, tactical delay has to be addressed as part of all this.

Certainly true, time is used as a weapon. Very sad to see many bereaved unsupported and made to wait for years for the truth. Unacceptable.

It's part of the tactics, as I understand. Forget where it appeared now, but there was acknowledgement re if you drag it on for long enough, complainants will walk away. So they do.

Yes. And yet so many families have stated they just want some honesty and the chance to make sure mistakes are not made again and again.

It is also not always a hierarchy. It can be peer loyalty that replaces patient advocacy.

True. Plus the alternative of telling the truth tends to have career ending consequences. Then how does one pay off one's £50k+ student loans? Silence is bought before they even see a patient.

Brand loyalty seems to be everything. When it gets to court they will sacrifice one person though.

Happening to us now. Only one consultant put in a statement for court. No shared responsibility for failure now.

Is that right? What is it do you think; damage limitation? Funny how joint enterprise only applies in certain circumstances...

Not me @C7RKY @willcpowell are in for the long haul. I don't care if it was King or Queen who wronged me, I'll have the murdering Dr Bar-steward one day. "Where there's a @willcpowell there's a way".

Only the most determined, most persistent (and often most traumatised) tend to keep going Bill. But there's a growing group of us. Knowing we're not alone helps, I think.

To protect my pharmacist I've edited his name. The second drug chart of Tramadol, with MST, Oramorph, Fenbufen, Diclofenac was one of FIVE pain killers given to Stephanie in her last week before the syringe of Morphine, Midazolam & Cyclizine to term sed her.
