Of course views all mine. All without prejudice. Just a regular chap after all. Oh...and RT's may equally imply ridicule as endorsement.

Good grief. Justifying unnecessary and tissue damaging intervention.https://twitter.com/shaunlintern/status/941706675991515137 …

Its not easy to be a doctor in the NHS – so sometimes they might brand your internal organs, and that's understandable apparently, says Henry Marsh. Incredible opinion piece: https://www.theguardian.com/commentisfree/2017/dec/15/doctor-signed-patients-livers-law-courts?CMP=share_btn_tw …

Well... attempting to, at least. But given that he's trying to diminish the significance of a criminal act, it's pretty mind blowing.

Absolutely. There can be no justification, the reason for the procedure is to make the patient feel better, not the clinician

Beautifully put! I agree. My concern now is who he will influence, having been given access to such a large audience. Did you notice the comments on that piece?https://twitter.com/C7RKY/status/941722366652178432 …

The comments on this piece are almost as enlightening as the piece itself. A mixture of horrified public, a few horrified clinicians and too many taking up the cause Henry Marsh has dissembled. https://www.theguardian.com/commentisfree/2017/dec/15/doctor-signed-patients-livers-law-courts#comments …

From a personal perspective, I think there is danger in offering a platform for views which attempt to diminish the lawful right to informed consent. Esp by a publication so widely read in the medical community. Protecting consent is hard enough already. > https://twitter.com/shaunlintern/status/600735704101031936 …
