NHS in England told to reveal avoidable deaths data "There is no standard definition of an avoidable death and each hospital trust makes its own judgment" >So what's the point, if they can just choose not to define a death as avoidable?http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/health-42347942 …

>> "As part of the release from more than three quarters of England's trusts, families of patients will also be given full explanations over relatives' deaths." > I'll believe that when I see it. Can't see this 180 degree turn happening any time soon.

This is an amazing point John. Where is the outrage?

I wish I knew Allyn. Even if 7/7 happened 3 times a week, every week, it would still be 700+ deaths short of healthcare's headcount by the end of the year. How many weeks would such loss of life be allowed to continue unabated in any other field?

Do you think they just hope it will change and go away. Our country should be in uproar over this shit

I think the scale of this problem has been hidden by plausible deniability-type arguments for years. Facilitated by poor definitions and differences in reporting. Not to mention good old fashioned cover-ups. Can't go on indefinitely.

It is outrageous.l, it really is.
