Why would anyone delete a tweet that had been RT’d 34 times and liked 143 times?

Strange, because it says tweet unavailable on Tweetdeck, but I can still see it on my phone? I'm confused. >pic.twitter.com/Uh2lp8mUhG

Oh I remember seeing it now. (My phone does what sometimes John) Desperately clinging to the ‘retweets/likes do not imply agreement’ theory otherwise we may all be stuffed.

Let's hope you're right. I do think calling for people to tweet you directly for a debate, whilst simultaneously muting those who do so, is more than a tad incongruous.

Especially with the ferocity of the invitation to tweet. I find it very unsettling that a doctor can be so antagonistic, and it scares the life out of me that many others potentially agree.

I agree with you. Antagonistic being the key point for me. 11.5k followers is no small audience for such comments. This debate is becoming polarised in a hurry.

After my personal experience with David Oliver, where I’ve shared personal info by email, and had his views on it thrown into the public arena, I wonder if he has an alternative agenda with us all by inviting debate but not replying. Maybe one of his blogs..

Perhaps we shouldn't be surprised? He doesn't seem to be overly happy with some people commenting on his tweets, let alone his BMJ articles.
