Agree. Decades of persistent NHS Secretary of State/Regulatory failings have led to people's emotions imploding/exploding in the face of ignored corruption malpractice obfuscation and injustice at every turn. No one leading the NHS Nationally at present & attempts to,are failing.

Quite. This latest 'no blame' push is just oil on the fire, imho. Saying candour will suffer & predicting more cover-ups when they are already so rife, is like threatenening to continue flogging a dead horse you've already flogged to death.
-
No blame meaning no scapegoating is good but it also lets off those who are really to blame.
-
Oh I agree. I'm trying to be as pragmatic as I can here. But the cover-ups must stop, one way or another. I honestly don't think doctors truly appreciate yet just how abhorrent their lies are to patients.https://twitter.com/c7rky/status/936982437468532736 …

@JamesTitcombe@curetheNHS I think they do know, they just frame it as disgruntled or similar to discard it. -
In some, I'm sure you're right. But there's some genuine denial out there too, I'd say. Others appear to believe themselves worthy of protection, making an exceptionalism-like argument re the profession. A belief like that can self-justify a lot of wrongs, imho.

Yes you are probably right,
#Transparency#DutyofCandour my arse. It’s a shame that some Clinicians might end up being charged with corporate manslaughter like this current case, that has got everyone hot under collar. But sadly that’s the path it looks like we are taking! -
When criminal action is the only path that we're left with, it should surprise nobody when we choose to take it.
-
You are exactly right John and I have echoed this many times. If
@UHBristolNHS give me a different choice I may take it. If the doctors stopped lying and told the truth I would move on but under no circumstances will I allow them to get away with their lies and gross failings -

That's just it. We're almost always motivated by 2 things: 1 Wanting the whole truth 2 Reassurance that it won't happen to others. I felt/feel an overwhelming sense of moral obligation to deliver on that 2nd point. It weighs heavy. And if criminal action is all that will do it...

Absolutely right.
