I find these cases utterly terrifying tbh. When a parent has to take a child to a doctor, their only concern should be for the child. But worrying whether the doctor will withhold treatment, enforce treatment, or refer you to SS for having a parental opinion is now a thing!

Yes, I've noticed that act being quoted, using the 'protection of children's rights' as justification. Protection from their parents, being the implication. Justification being for riding roughshod over their views. Scary times.

I saw that at the time. Made my antenna twitch. NHS constitution only permits denying access to services for 2 reasons: 1 If you're abusive 2 If you're vexatious All too often trusts will manufacture a case of this sort to exclude anyone too 'awkward'. Complainants especially.
