Dr. Welch’s work is indeed interesting. As a professional “diagnoser”the term overdiagnosis is unsettling. The diagnosis is an observation to which we chose to act or not. Making the right choice requires relationship with our patients - which has been eroding for many years

Thx. 2 me, Medicine/healthcare is a relationship 1st, supported by broader knowledge. “Evidence” & population based medicine remove the vital reliance of the narrative of each patient right in front of you. Is how we provide healthcare helping actual people be/become well?

Not on current population-based experience, no. 'Evidence' can trouble me too. Eg. conclusions drawn from a selective 50% of pharma studies published are at best, incomplete. Misleading at worst, imho
