So the UN says #Assange has been 'arbitrarily detained' & the UK says..?
...we don't care. We'll arrest him anyway.https://twitter.com/washingtonpost/status/695547876911542272 …
@MatSilk A crime he hasn't been charged with, of course. I suspect we both know there's a lot more than just the headline to all this, Matt.

@C7RKY Yes, cld prbly spend all day on this. He's not been charged as Swedes want to question him first I understand (as per their process) -
@MatSilk Their process aside, the Swedes have been v 'close' with the US, so it's hard to ignore potential hidden agendas being at play. -
@C7RKY Oh, I don't for one moment find it hard to imagine all sorts of political wrangling, it's got intrigue all over it, both sides -
@MatSilk Quite. When faced with a 'who do you trust' decision between govs & the bloke who exposes them, I confess to having a preference. -
@C7RKY Too many who argue in JA's favour too sure he didn't do it tho, & regardless of position on Wikileaks and gov, that is the question. -
@MatSilk I take your point. It's back to the trust issue though. I tend to want govs to prove their stance rather than accept it these days. -
@C7RKY Yes, but that presumes it's driven by gov, not the claimants as individuals, etc etc... -
@MatSilk Not so much assumption as a working theory I'd say. But yes, that's where my suspicious eye is most drawn currently, I'll be honest
