A Sunday saw 30 new cases 10hrs, 20 Clinically Frail needing DNACPR to protect them. When do I get 20hrs discussion?https://twitter.com/katemasters67/status/616165022880952320 …

@C7RKY@doctorcaldwell we tried for a national policy but the court was not in favour. -
@katemasters67@doctorcaldwell Did they offer any insight into the reason for their opinion? I know this stance sure doesn't help re consent -
@C7RKY@doctorcaldwell will find the bits from the judgment.. But this is helpful in that respect http://www.theguardian.com/society/2014/may/07/do-not-resuscitate-orders-dnrs-janet-tracey-national-policy-nhs-department-health …

@C7RKY@doctorcaldwell the hospital at the heart of this case had acknowledged there were issues with DNACPR and had been working on it. -
@C7RKY@doctorcaldwell they fought my dad's claim ferociously-their work is good in principle, and will now probably roll out nationally -
@katemasters67@doctorcaldwell But roll out nationally as a policy, or as a 'suggestion'? Not that either is a guarantee of implementation. -
@C7RKY@doctorcaldwell I guess it will be a suggestion. Hope to find out more in the near future.
