@C7RKY This doesn't include Coroners' post mortems, which make up the vast majority - they help answer questions, as will medical examiners. -
@ilovepathology Don't want to distract from subject you're on today, but does this rapidly approaching death of the hospital PM concern you? -
@C7RKY Of course, post mortem remains the gold standard and routinely demonstrates disease that was not suspected during life. -
@ilovepathology Which in turn may prove that clinical judgement had gone awry, or was even negligent? No wonder so few are being done now... -

@katemasters67 So what should the procedure be when that happens? If PM is 'gold standard' as@ilovepathology said, trust ought to explain. -
