@PeterThurlow @MatSilk I only have one experience to speak of, but local press won't even cover a story *after* it appearing in nationals.

@C7RKY@PeterThurlow@MatSilk It's an unpopular move to criticise the local hospital. Besides, who advertises in local papers? -
@jatroa But actually reason local press don't like criticizing local hospital is readers hate it and no newspaper wants to upset its readers -
@PeterThurlow@jatroa Seems people are more concerned about losing their hospital than it being safe nowadays? Fear criticism may = closure. -
@C7RKY No - just don't believe it's unsafe. Criticism is felt to come from troublemakers or interfering outsiders. (Step forward my clients) -
@PeterThurlow Don't want to believe, perhaps? What kind of clients do you represent then Peter? Individuals, or organisations?

@C7RKY@PeterThurlow@MatSilk Kudos comes to locals if they pick up first. -
@noreenbo Not if criticism of local hospital. They need national story as excuse, so they can report that. Means they avoid direct criticism -
@PeterThurlow@noreenbo And if they continue to fail to report on it once that national excuse lands? It's certainly avoiding something... -
@C7RKY There's no law. They can report what they like. -
@PeterThurlow A fact that hadn't escaped me...
