@C7RKY NICE is ok if right people are on the guideline development groups. I'm on one
Yes. I like the sound of that. V promising. P'haps NICE may have more value than some realise? http://www.bmj.com/content/350/bmj.h2652 …pic.twitter.com/nL7Khu3Avx

@Cleverestcookie As ever, I suppose? Even the best systems can be rendered useless by those who run them. Sure yours is quality! Which one? -
@C7RKY it depends on a range of people putting themselves forward so enough with appropriate expertise are available to be selected -
@Cleverestcookie That's interesting. So what incentive is there for the most qualified (& presumably the busiest) to put themselves forward? -
@C7RKY those like me who altruistically want to make things the best they can be. Expenses are reimbursed but no doubt for some isn't enough -
@Cleverestcookie Hardly sounds like the optimal set-up, considering importance. You'd think NICE would take an evidence-based look at that. -
@C7RKY employed by private company. All CoI have to be declared and published. It seems reasonable to me. -
@Cleverestcookie I'm sure the criteria for inclusion is fine. I was thinking more about which candidates wouldn't be attracted to apply, tbh - 10 more replies
