I'm searching my timeline, but haven't yet found 1 person who's happy with #Francis report & has no link to gov/NHS. What does that tell us?

@C7RKY@sillyoldjen it's a non-independent role often filled with people without the necessary skills and experience -
@Cleverestcookie@sillyoldjen I'm sure that's true. But they commonly only act as a means to gather info which helps prepare trust's defence -
@C7RKY@sillyoldjen well I'd only expect it to be a means of sourcing response from the trust to a query, not an independent investigation -
@Cleverestcookie@sillyoldjen Oh no, there's no pretence of independence about it. This is often the forerunner to inform 'weeding/seeding'.

@C7RKY@Cleverestcookie when job first created they called it PatientsAdvocate but that quietly changed=NO WAY they'd wants us have advocate -
@sillyoldjen@C7RKY you can't have an advocate that's not independent of the body concerned -
@Cleverestcookie@C7RKY absolutely. They have paid legal advice in-house plus external(all paid by us)solicitors from 1st moment we complain
