@PhyllisStein2 I'm sure they'd dream something up to get their own back, but there was no protection order when they left, so no crime. :)
@C7RKY Leaving was fine, but the case proceeded through family court regardless and Ashys became ward of court, so family legally gagged
@PhyllisStein2 Oh...I thought that had been withdrawn after CPS reviewed the case? Was that just the EU arrest warrant they reversed then?
@C7RKY Yes. You have to apply to the family court for permission to speak and the judge decides whether to allow you or not
@PhyllisStein2 I understand that, but hadn't appreciated the court case had continued - prob because the gagging order meant I didn't know?
@C7RKY He was made a ward of court and then he became no longer a ward of court. That is enough to be gagged.
@PhyllisStein2 Is it? Even after the ward of court order has been removed? So what *does* it take to remove any gagging order after that?
@C7RKY The judge must grant permission or the family will be gagged forever or risk contempt and prison if they speak
@PhyllisStein2 Really? I had no idea. Talk about draconian! I'm at the stage where I'll talk & damn the consequences, but good to know. TY!
