Whatever side u fall on, might open up an interesting & much needed v.public debate on vaccinations (truth & myth) - http://www.theguardian.com/society/2014/oct/09/french-couple-refused-vaccinations-for-children-face-judge?CMP=twt_gu …
@MatSilk although I'm no clinician, but I don't know of any clinical value in vaccinating someone for a disease they've already contracted?

@C7RKY Ah, didn't mean vaccinate, obv 2 late. Meant treat w whatever wld help. All purely theoretical. It's the rationale I'm interested in -
@MatSilk If they already have the disease, then most parents would want whatever their child needs as treatment. This is prior to that. -
@C7RKY The parallel I was striving for, via rationale, is who should decide for child; whether it's vaccination or later down the line... -
@MatSilk This presses every button I possess tbh. Consent or vaccinations is enough. Consent AND vaccinations makes me shake. Parent for me. -
@C7RKY What is parent's decision based on personal belief at odds with - for arguments sake - the evidence? I know, I know, humour me -
@C7RKY Sorry, *if* not *is*

@Cleverestcookie@MatSilk This is where the 'system' is not just open to abuse, but abused with alarming regularity imho. Anyone who takes > -
@Cleverestcookie@MatSilk a differing view to the clinical world can be easily attacked & labelled crazy by...the clinical world. Overridden -
