.@C7RKY We discussed this yesterday, John - I was assuming there WOULD be international observers - were there? If not, WHY not?

@StarSparkle_UK We did. I'm as amazed as you if there weren't. How can anyone claim the result is valid without independent verification?? -
.
@C7RKY God only knows...Im genuinely horrified if it turns out there were no independent observers present. Vote rigging always possibility -
@StarSparkle_UK All too easy to hide behind the confidentiality of voting & suggest that No was just the 'silent majority' without observers -
@C7RKY@StarSparkle_UK I thought international observers were only employed in areas with a dubious electoral process/history? -
@MatSilk@StarSparkle_UK Aside from obvious comment that UK may well qualify, I think a referendum has greater significance than an election -
-
@StarSparkle_UK@C7RKY Are you not conflating dissatisfaction w the system and outcome with dubious practice? - 7 more replies

@C7RKY It seems really odd that there were no neutral observers and that there was a decision b4 the vote that there wld be no re counts? -
@TinaQ60 I didn't hear about the pre-announcement there would be no re-count. How can they justify that, without knowing how close it'd be??
-
@C7RKY No, I didn't hear it.Saw tweets saying that for the 1st time ever there was not going to be any recounts?Don't know where it started. -
@TinaQ60 Hmmm...worth keeping an eye out for any source on that one. Seems a strange stance to take to me.

Hi
@C7RKY as I replied earlier to@blamedandshamed @TinaQ60 Do you mean like the B/berg control the US President elections? -
@follyscorner@blamedandshamed @TinaQ60 I don't know much about that tbh Will, but it sounds like it's in the same ball park, yes.
