"When Patients Read What Their Doctors Write" > http://www.npr.org/blogs/health/2014/08/14/340351393/when-patients-read-what-their-doctors-write … >How many UK doctors would have the guts to show records to pts?
@Cleverestcookie Appreciated. My suggestion doesn't change that. It's about how you produce what you're going to scan. Paper, or electronic?

@C7RKY was an electronic template in the end. Doesn't matter once it's scanned though?? Scanned copy is legally acceptable as the document. -
@Cleverestcookie It matters a whole lot, if the scanning doesn't take place at the time of signature, imho. Paper consent is open to abuse. -
@C7RKY ok but what about the patient's copy? That could be corroborating or otherwise. No reason why electronic shouldn't be used as easy>> -
@Cleverestcookie That assumes pt gets their copy. In v large % of cases, they aren't given one. That much, I do know. Electronic is v easy > -
@Cleverestcookie yet if it's so easy, it begs the question; why do they miss it out? Even on the latest systems? >https://twitter.com/C7RKY/status/498605784385994752 … -
@C7RKY incompetence in scoping need and delivering a fit for purpose system -
@Cleverestcookie Or....? -
@C7RKY well, I don't usually go for the conspiracy theory option. I usually find things are down to incompetence and people aren't clever. - 13 more replies
