@Cleverestcookie Now that, I like. :)
I just wish the new IT systems didn't all seem to keep ducking electronic input for consent forms now.

@C7RKY how do you record patient's 'signature' if form is electronic though? -
@Cleverestcookie You don't. Print it off for signature, then scan it back in. But important part is, input gets stored electronically then. -
@C7RKY we scanned in consent forms in prison -
@Cleverestcookie Appreciated. My suggestion doesn't change that. It's about how you produce what you're going to scan. Paper, or electronic? -
@C7RKY was an electronic template in the end. Doesn't matter once it's scanned though?? Scanned copy is legally acceptable as the document. -
@Cleverestcookie It matters a whole lot, if the scanning doesn't take place at the time of signature, imho. Paper consent is open to abuse. -
@C7RKY ok but what about the patient's copy? That could be corroborating or otherwise. No reason why electronic shouldn't be used as easy>> -
@Cleverestcookie That assumes pt gets their copy. In v large % of cases, they aren't given one. That much, I do know. Electronic is v easy > - 17 more replies

@C7RKY I don't know why GPs don't let the patient see what they're typing in now. We couldn't in prison for security reasons, but outside...Thanks. Twitter will use this to make your timeline better. UndoUndo
