@acorns47 @doctorcaldwell 2 subjects here I think? Efficiency/neccesity on one side. Integrity of whatever does get recorded on the other.
@AnitaDows @acorns47 @doctorcaldwell Interesting. Thanks Anita. Next qn is; who pays the £1.13bn insurance premiums?

@C7RKY@AnitaDows@acorns47 ordinary man in the street pays for litigation costs in NHS. Money does not grow on trees, grows from your work. -
NHS Litigation Authority Clinical Neg Scheme for Trusts costs £1b annually with backlog of £21b
@doctorcaldwell@C7RKY@AnitaDows@acorns47 -
@Jarmann@doctorcaldwell@AnitaDows@acorns47 When you say there's a £21bn backlog Brian, what do you mean? A backlog of what? -
Backlog of payment that may be necessary in future - an estimate I was given: worrying if true.

@C7RKY@AnitaDows@acorns47 I would love to know % overheads, inc NHSLA, CCGs, inspections etc in NHS compared with direct care costs. -
@doctorcaldwell@AnitaDows@acorns47 You and I both. Seem to be a large number of parasitic organisations, sucking the cash out of pt care.

@C7RKY@AnitaDows@acorns47 wow what could I do with £100,000 let alone £1.1 billion. At times £20 would have made big difference! -
NHS LA lower CNST payments to higher HSMR Trusts. Because patients die? https://www.dropbox.com/s/lranwnvf77ee9oc/NHS%20LA%20CNST%20etc%20payments%20%26%20HSMRs%2C%202012-13%20Trusts.xls …
@doctorcaldwell@C7RKY@AnitaDows@acorns47 -
@Jarmann should CNST be replaced with truly risk adjusted insurance scheme? Trusts would have financial incentive to become safer. -
Working the other way round at the moment - higher death rate trusts have lower CNST payments. Mid Staffs was good by NHS LA.
@HughRisebrow -
@Jarmann@HughRisebrow I am blown away by that. How does that not equate to rewarding failure, at the patients' expense? Counter-intuitive. -
MSPI Cl Sub 259 "The NHSLA witnesses more than once referred to a CNST assessment as a mere ‘snapshot’ of processes"

@C7RKY@AnitaDows@acorns47 so that legal process over DNACPR cost how much? When we need more £8/hr ward clerks to release nurses to care.Thanks. Twitter will use this to make your timeline better. UndoUndo

@C7RKY@AnitaDows@acorns47 Golden Rule of NHS+Lawyers The proof is not in the pudding it is in the paperwork. Bad paperwork must=bad care. -
@doctorcaldwell@AnitaDows@acorns47 No. Bad paperwork=weak legal defence. That's all they care about. Hence why record custody is ludicrous
