You wait nearly a month for an FOI response, only to find there's still possible word-play where it matters

> This means crucially, that the phrase "then no data will be extracted", can be claimed to relate to 'Personal Confidential Data' only.
>So is this yet more trickery from HSCIC? Still don't believe this rules out most of our GP data flowing to HSCIC, even with a Type1 opt-out
@C7RKY Confuses me too. Why would a type 1 + 2 objection result in more data extracted than type 1 alone ? Or am I missing something ?
@arcjn1 That's because type 1 only keeps letting them share hospital records. But they need to ID you, to stop that, if type 2 also done.
@arcjn1 But key here is the word games around using an example, with PCD at its heart, to limit the scope of the reply - pure deception imho
@C7RKY Keep up the good fight! You can ask for clarifications, theres still six months before next attempt at a start date.
@C7RKY That is what the wording actually says - the code was meant to stop PCD. More recent statement from HSCIC is that it means no data.
@drjbailey I've seen no statement from HSCIC which confirms without ambiguity, that this model is not still current >pic.twitter.com/jlNCgpCLJF
@drjbailey Is this the statement you meant Joanne?

Despite impressions, I don't believe opt-out prevents GP data flow
@C7RKY I agree wording is terrible on that page - I will raise it with GPES.
@drjbailey I fear you won't get a straight answer. That page is 1 of 4 main references, supposedly claiming opt-out has changed. 3 unclear.
@C7RKY I'll have a try!
@C7RKY HSCIC have now made some changes to this page and I have given them comments to try and improve it further. http://www.hscic.gov.uk/article/3915/What-we-will-collect-from-GP-records-under-caredata …
