Of course views all mine. All without prejudice. Just a regular chap after all. Oh...and RT's may equally imply ridicule as endorsement.

@C7RKY John, read the section on fair and lawful processing here and it might shed some light on this! http://www.dataprotectionessentials.com/pages/introduction-to-the-data-protection-act …

@TimGough3 Haha! Act as a walking encyclopedia, you will. :) They set the DPA up to be overridden, any time they chose then? Great...

@C7RKY It's not overriding the DPA as such. There are many extremely good reasons for legal obligation too.

@TimGough3 @tim2040 I understand there are legitimate purposes, but unless they are articulated elsewhere, it leaves it v open to abuse, no?

@TimGough3 @tim2040 Nothing, I presume? All kept nice & vague, same as now? If opt-out proves fake, that might at least provoke a pushback.

@C7RKY @tim2040 I've always said opt-out is a red herring. The only answer is to query H&SCA.

@TimGough3 @tim2040 I agree, but it's going to take exposing the red herring to start it. I've hopefully done an FOI which will do that now.
