I've had chance to look again at this letter @medConfidential >

I'm unconvinced the opt-out has changed.

Means the phrase "No other additional data will be extracted" can be claimed to relate only to this purpose. Needs clarity
@medConfidential -
@C7RKY It could... But how stupid do you think they are? We'd know, so public would know. More concerned about "currently", which needs work -
@medConfidential I don't think they're stupid at all. On the contrary. Whilst I agree 'currently' is a concern, opt-out validity is more so.

@C7RKY Extraction of obj codes HAS to be seperate else obj COULD be associated with other (clinical) data. Daft/dangerous to do otherwise! -
@medConfidential Appreciated, but my initial impression was that this was the confirmation our data would not leave GP. If not here, where? -
@C7RKY Not getting you. It is. Letter from Davies + HSCIC page, confirmed by SoS, lay out new operation of GP extract. Objection = no flow -
For the benefit of anyone following this
#caredata thread the chat went onto DM &@medConfidential now 'gets me'. I maintain opt-out is fake -

.
@medConfidential Actually, I've no intention of waiting until GP data collections start, to find out how it works. I'll crack on though... -
@C7RKY Maybe write to Mark Davies @HSCIC for further clarification if not satisfied with his last answer?
