"..unprecedented public concern over inaccessible data has led drug companies to streamline the process for granting access" WHAT?

@C7RKY see http://www.alltrials.net — you’re missing the context of how this is a good thing. Trial patients have already consented. -
@smithsam Can't see whole article (yet another subscription I need) but perhaps you can? How do we ensure sharing only happens with consent? -
@C7RKY see http://alltrials.net — if you don’t have consent, it’s not a legal clinical trial. -
@smithsam Appreciated, but I'm not looking at the trial itself, rather to whom that data is subsequently passed. Is that consented to also? -
@C7RKY informed consent to the trial data being analysed, and part of that is trial review. See name 5 here: http://www.alltrials.net/news/open-letter-to-ema-from-clinical-trial-participants/ … -
@smithsam No prob with data being shared back with 'doctors/regulators' as it says there. It shd be. But doesn't preclude likes of insurers?

@C7RKY not sure that’s quite the point — pharma can’t reshare data. it’s only for stuff they are data controllers on. See@alltrials -
@smithsam@C7RKY@alltrials agreed, this looks like a positive step. -
.
@TimGough3@smithsam@alltrials I can see the obv positive to this access, but I can also see potential unintended recipients too#caredata -
@C7RKY@TimGough3@alltrials that’s why it’s important that it’s not cocked up :)
