Qn for my healthcare followers: How many 'critical illnesses', (as per insurance cover), can be anticipated by less serious conditions?
@davidcarrollir @katemasters67 How about heart attack, strokes, renal failure, etc. Would any GP data indicators show increased risk?

@C7RKY@davidcarrollir@katemasters67 We are all being called in for health checks for just this reason to give heart attack, renal function -
@C7RKY@davidcarrollir@katemasters67 predictions. They take our family history. My sister got 0.7% risk of heart attack in next 10yrs -
.
@PhyllisStein2@davidcarrollir@katemasters67 V interesting. So if this info were given to insurers, they could avoid the risk? Not good! -
@C7RKY@davidcarrollir@katemasters67 Yes the computer has even calculated it for them -
@PhyllisStein2@davidcarrollir@katemasters67 Looks like#caredata has the potential to destroy screening programmes, once pts work this out -
@C7RKY@PhyllisStein2 of course that will be our fault for opting 'out' (or hopefully, for not opting in!!) -
@katemasters67@PhyllisStein2 It's always our fault Kate. The inquiries are only to work out a plausible reason why... :) -
@C7RKY@katemasters67 Maybe it will be a condition of being treated by the NHS that we will have to forfeit our medical privacy - 3 more replies
