Right...first of a number of potential new school visits now. Oh the joy of negotiating the red tape of our 'system'. Wish me luck...
@katemasters67 We've seen 3 so far. This was 1 of 3 visits to our favoured choice, so they can assess his 'suitability'. A little unnerving!

@C7RKY similar here, 6th form 'interview' to assess 'suitability/course choice'....however, parents not invited! Suddenly, we don't count! -
@C7RKY .school is in a remote village..warning that lateness not tolerated...so guess we (+ car) do fit into the plan somewhere! ;)) -
@katemasters67 Haha! Unless you're breeding budding marathon runners, I guess they're going to need your 'assistance' sometime! :) -
@C7RKY actually, it's 'only' 5 miles (measured by LA map) up a dual carriageway followed by a country road..an hour on foot each way? ;) -
@katemasters67 Oh well in that case, you won't be needed by the school at all then, once the required pupil 'range' is achieved. ;-) -
@C7RKY gotta laugh, but actually I find it a bit of a minefield..March 1st we find out about 10year old's destination..Aug for 15yo.. -
@katemasters67 I agree. We have to throw statementing & an entirely different system running alongside for special needs placements too. :-/ -
@C7RKY that adds sticky treacle to the already hard to stir mix. :( - 1 more reply
