I'll try asking on a weekend, see if more are around: does anyone know about PACS (Picture Archiving Computer System) used in radiology pls?
@DrDLittle @katemasters67 Hi David. Thanks for responding. 1st things 1st: does this system also store the written reports, or just images?

@C7RKY@katemasters67 most systems store reports too but many reports are authored in a RIS and subsequently imported to PACS -
@DrDLittle@katemasters67 Forgive my ignorance - RIS? Is it possible to track back to archived versions of the report when done that way? -
@C7RKY@katemasters67 radiology information system. Yes, it should be. All systems should have an audit trail -
@DrDLittle@katemasters67 Thank you - interesting. So if I ask for a copy of a report 'pre-addendum', it ought to be possible to produce it? -
@C7RKY I'm not sure, worth discussing locally. Strictly an 'addendum' should not alter the original report. It should be additional to. -
@DrDLittle Appreciate your point about it supposedly being additional. Just trying to u/stand if original report can be removed/amended too.

@C7RKY@DrDLittle@katemasters67 We have. it stores report. -
@DrUmeshPrabhu@DrDLittle@katemasters67 Ok, thanks Umesh. And if an addendum is added, would pre-addendum version be archived on system? -
@DrUmeshPrabhu@DrDLittle@katemasters67 Thanks! Diff to what I'd prev heard. When doing addendums, is it poss to amend the original report? -
@C7RKY@DrUmeshPrabhu@katemasters67 depends on the system but it isn't with the system I'm used to -
@DrDLittle@DrUmeshPrabhu@katemasters67 Can I just clarify what you mean please David? That it isn't archived, or that it can't be amended?
