You're kidding? CQC commits arguably criminal acts of cover up & responds by recruiting parliamentary lobbyist? Why?> http://www.mirror.co.uk/news/uk-news/care-quality-commission-advertises-lobbyist-2001537?utm_source=twitterfeed&utm_medium=twitter …
@mulberrybush I'm not sure I understand? What communication barrier do you mean Diana? And how does a parliamentary lobbyist help here?

@C7RKY I think that the nature of the questions some MPs ask indicates they do not always understand the nature of the organisation. -
@mulberrybush That's a fair point about some MPs. Although I've seen plenty of game playing on the other side of the table when it suits. -
@C7RKY Yes. I always wonder if having the cameras is always a good thing! certainly people on all sides do play to them. -
@mulberrybush The game playing I refer to takes many forms. From regularly avoiding questions by feigning ignorance to blatant grandstanding -
@mulberrybush But in all cases, I'm glad the cameras are there - it's the only chance we get to have access to the unadulterated facts. -
@C7RKY we need access, but the cameras change what we are looking at. - not always for the better.

@C7RKY Not a great fan of lobbyists in general - but if just someone whose job it is to have the right conversations - may be a role. -
@mulberrybush Still not sure what CQC would be lobbying *for* though? Once their function/budget has been agreed, they just report progress? -
@C7RKY Maybe it is sometimes about modifying expectations - I think regulation is still evolving - too often through crisis. quieter ways?

@C7RKY I suppose when CEOs or top officials have to "answer" there is always a degree of "self justification" which gets in way.Thanks. Twitter will use this to make your timeline better. UndoUndo
