Within hours of giving birth, you can look forward to a pushy sales pitch from NHS endorsed firm, Bounty. Really?? > http://www.independent.co.uk/life-style/health-and-families/health-news/new-mothers-hassled-in-hospitals-by-babycare-firms-warns-mumsnet-8635202.html …
@MedsManPharm And I see comment on your TL that we pay them to distribute forms too? When did the moral compass get scrapped? All about cash

@C7RKY ...the links to Mumsnet? A thread, I think, where women describe their 'Bounty experiences'. -
@MedsManPharm No actually, but I'll take a look - thanks. The worse the product, chances are, the more pushy the rep, in my experience. :) -
@C7RKY Well, a bag of crap leaflets and a small tub of Sudocrem if you're lucky! Reports of quality of the photos they tout seem to vary. -
@MedsManPharm Just something a little distasteful for me about allowing any commercial access, but especially so at such a personal time. -
@C7RKY Absolutely. Couldn't agree more. Does this happen in any other area of healthcare? Preying on the vulnerable. -
@MedsManPharm I could start with MP's private healthcare interests & work my way down for that one! Usually more subtle than Bounty tho. :) -
@C7RKY Now if MPs flung your hospital curtains open to sell you something whilst you were trying to learn to breastfeed/ still bleeding... -
@MedsManPharm Being present at the birth didn't bother me at all, but that thought just made me feels quite nauseous! ;-)

@C7RKY Yes, saw that! Madness! At least just pay the maternity units to do it. Some stories of really incredibly pushy reps; have you seen..Thanks. Twitter will use this to make your timeline better. UndoUndo
