@C7RKY Certainly expensive for Midlanders if you look at ONS figures http://www.google.co.uk/imgres?imgurl=http://images.icnetwork.co.uk/upl/birmpost/mar2013/3/1/bbc-regional-spending-in-england-375420174.jpg&imgrefurl=http://www.birminghampost.net/news/west-midlands-news/2013/03/28/midlands-misses-out-on-millions-in-bbc-investment-scandal-65233-33079008/&h=124&w=465&sz=41&tbnid=PYjLM4t-SAM0xM:&tbnh=30&tbnw=113&zoom=1&usg=__YTQTN08ICK6HQwSihRyOH-JIp0I=&docid=RSFwzn0CAX5IkM&sa=X&ei=vGeSUeOdC4erO7H-gPgO&ved=0CDUQ9QEwAA&dur=219 …

@AstromanGeek Blimey! That's some serious misalignment of spend. Somebody at the BBC doesn't like the Midlands it seems? Loves London tho!

@C7RKY TV license certainly an anomaly dating from time when it was a state monopoly. I've never owned one and never will. -
@paulrogers002 Hard to say exactly why, but for some reason I expected nothing less of you! :) I know I'd rather not pay for BBC any more. -
@C7RKY Used to hide TV in cupboard to avoid detectors. But if there's no plug, it doesn't need license. Keep 'off' switch and scissors handy
