It will be interesting to see whether the unions change their policies as their lawyers have been supporting the use of gagging clauses.
@PatientsFirstUK The unions have been SUPPORTING gagging clauses? What justification have they offered for taking such a position?

@C7RKY There is no justification. Excuse is that everyone does it; that is employment lawyers. Not good enough. -
@PatientsFirstUK So much for acting in the best interests of their members! Sounds like they've taken a page out of#NicholsonP45's book. -
@C7RKY@patientsfirstuk They do not represent whistleblowers well at all. Most of the unions are poor at this.#PatientsFirstUK -
@drkimholt@c7rky@patientsfirstuk Certainly my experience. Well meaning but amateurish/powerless against the bullies in power in CQC. -
@heatherawwood@drkimholt@patientsfirstuk Once had to stop union rep talking at a disciplinary hearing, before they hanged their client.. -
@C7RKY@drkimholt@patientsfirstuk Didn't seem to get I had potential whistle blowing case as team penalised for exposure of Mid Staffs. -
@heatherawwood@drkimholt@patientsfirstuk Union reps often poorly equipped to represent members in basic areas. Whistleblowing isn't basic!
