@JFr4ser @heatherawwood @debhazeldine @joinedu1 @drgrumble @annclwyd P'haps, but I don't buy 'system' defence. Conscience plays a part here.
@JFr4ser The way the whole thing is set up is ridiculous from an outsider's perspective. Conflicting agendas everywhere, with lives at stake

@C7RKY < mainly aspirational IMO -
@JFr4ser But I am hearing the 'burden of regulation' objection, as a reason that the safeguards aren't there. I don't understand why not yet -
@C7RKY I think it's difficult to compare to other industries. Too many variables -
@JFr4ser I'm less sure. The medical industry has existed in a self-protecting vacuum for too long, hiding behind easily bypassed regulation. -
@C7RKY < standard of practice against peers. None of it is random -
@JFr4ser the way in which complainants are crushed, medical records are 'weeded & seeded' & harm covered up, is also not random I'm afraid. -
@C7RKY I have no experience of that so can't comment. Records are often imprecise particular in very acute situations. Might be haggled over -
@JFr4ser Didn't see adding procedures to signed consent form post-op (to hide a crime) as 'imprecise' tbh. Nor when they presented a forgery - 8 more replies

@C7RKY that same set up works for vast majority of people. Almost noone sets out to give poor care. Truly individualised care is costly &>Thanks. Twitter will use this to make your timeline better. UndoUndo
