Of course views all mine. All without prejudice. Just a regular chap after all. Oh...and RT's may equally imply ridicule as endorsement.

I'm not sure who's complacent. I spend most of my day monitoring and trying to improve our service or answering to the multitude of organisations we're accountable to. I also spend a fair chunk of my spare time campaigning for the NHS. If only voters took the issue more seriously

The answer lies with the public, that's for sure. As long as they think the NHS is wonderful there's no pressure to change anything.

I used to work for a large prestigious company with the biggest name in the business, but they grew complacent, and rested on their laurels. They didn't invest or change with the times, and for a while they bumbled along selling yesterdays technology to the third world.

Then one day they woke up to find everyone else had left them behind. The same will happen to the NHS.

It's all a bit like The Emperor's New Clothes. The public is brainwashed into believing the message that the NHS is the best in the world, so that's what they see. We're all the little boy shouting that the emperor is naked - but the message isn't going down too well.

The figures don't bear out your experience. A majority are satisfied. A minority aren't. Both figures are deteriorating. The NHS is under immense pressure and likely to get worse until someone takes the 1.3 million public servants welfare seriously.

#LiesDamnedLiesAndStatistics. You only have to look closely at how #PHSO eliminate #complainants to see that the complaints investigated are the #TipOfTheIceberg Its all about who holds power and control.

A health warning should be given to anyone contemplating a serious complaint with NHS. It can be lethal. At least consumes years of your life. Saps your energy. Robs you of sleep. Creates family conflict. And more.

Each years 160000 complain. For most complaints are resolved well but for some #NHS can be a nightmare

Our complaint would be one of those labelled as 'resolved' by the trust. I don't regard it as resolved in any way. Makes those statistics meaningless, imho.

Yes, the statistics are meaningless. According to #PHSO our (1st complaint if you count PHSO stats) was resolved without investigation - they told us we had to complaint to x3 #NHS trusts not just x1 before they would consider it. We did, so they opened a 'new' complaint of same!

Now you mention it, my complaint is also a 'new' one. First time round it got shut down by upholding the fact that the Trust were giving me the runaround by not liaising. After 'liaising' and the complaint still hadn't been addressed, they treated it as if it was a new complaint.

Exactly! Its a #PHSO tactic & then they have the cheek to write (2+ years after the complaint was submitted) saying 'sorry we've taken 12 months so far'. What gets me, in hindsight, is #NHSConstitution didn't need me to make x3 separate complaints! #PHSO know this. @CommonsPACAC

Its obvious #PHSO are trying to time out a #PersonalInjury claim (3 years) but that is not, and never was, our intention. We just wanted #ServiceImprovements & an #apology. OTOH a PHSO related #JD may be worth considering as PHSO improvements are much needed!
