I agree. I really do think key players are coached to cover up. Without boring you re my background, I can often recognise the difference between natural behaviour and rehearsed behaviour. I knew in an instant that what I was on the receiving end of had been carefully rehearsed.

I always think about those too old, ill, scared or who don't have english as 1st language? How would they fare? & any learnings from their distress/loss? Lying & covering-up because you u can about actions in your premises appears to be business-as-usual for alot of Trusts.

BAU is right, ime. It's rare to find that cover up and calling in the lawyers isn't the default option for any complaint of substance ime. And it's hard enough to deal with those who cover up if you're fit and well (at the start, at least). The vulnerable have no chance, imho
