They wanted a doctor who was also a criminal - convicted of the gross negligent manslaughter of one of their patients - to be struck off in order to protect public confidence in the medical profession. I'm no fan of the GMC, but on this occasion they were right, imho.

I've just tried to follow him and found that I'm blocked too. Puzzling because I don't remember ever having any previous contact. I must be doing something right ...

-
In this instance, you're definitely doing something right. He's part of a small(ish) group of doctors who just block anyone that might be able to meaningfully contradict them - whilst simultaneously demonstrating astonishing arrogance. And some wonder how emotive hashtags start??
-
He blocked me! I contradicted him. Quite proud of myself! :-)

It's a necessary step sometimes. If you're not making someone feel uncomfortable, you're probably not trying hard enough. Such people just want to push an unjustified narrative and don't appreciate being publicly shown to be wrong. You keep up the good work.

To change anything you have to challenge. All changes must be for better and patients must see the benefit.

It's a shame. I think we should all keep listening to each other, keep dialogue going.Clinical staff are workers in unions and there is a strong need for mutual support. Without that doctors feel v. vulnerable. But pts feel very vulnerable with good reason.Need to work together
-
That's the bottom line. We're all vulnerable and having a rough time because of the system, so it requires all our input to fix the problem.
