Easy to think people should know about health because it is your subject. Also, some people are very frightened. They don't want to face mortality. People aren't taught in school or by parents to be responsible for own health. They trust it to doctors.

I'm sorry if you've had mendacious complaints. Personally, I'm astonished there aren't far more complaints. People are putting up with bad things sometimes they don't realise how bad, other times they aren't complain. Of course I'm not in favour of mendaciousness.

Each year 12000 doctors are referred
@gmcuk! 80 to 90% referrals are unnecessary or preventable! Sadly doctors do not get any support. Many are scared of@gmcuk and many good doctors lives ruined@TheBMA@CNagpaul@shanecarmichael@tcgannon#Regulationconf@FionaCMcQueen3 replies 2 retweets 2 likes -

They wanted a doctor who was also a criminal - convicted of the gross negligent manslaughter of one of their patients - to be struck off in order to protect public confidence in the medical profession. I'm no fan of the GMC, but on this occasion they were right, imho.
