I think there's a reason why every major NHS IT project has resulted in abject failure, despite spending gazillions of pounds on them. And your tale explains why - because such systems have the potential to prevent medical record fraud.

Again John, you've hit the nail squarely on the head! The NHS will never, in my view, create a system of securing the authenticity of medical records as doing so would prevent the post negligence ability for doctors/NHS/others to falsify them!
