Dr Caldwell is one of the doctors on Twitter who attempted to justify the doctors' actions for not treating Robbie for Addison's disease when it was suspected & also for failing to do the ACTH test which had been ordered. Why? Because he missed a diagnosis of AD himself.

Not correct. I missed a case of Addison’s because I was angry and overworked. I can understand how vitally important notes (Do the synacthen tear) get overlooked in the chaos of paper or digital notes that exist in NHS especially across Hospital / GP divide.

There is a difference between exploring and trying to understand why matters went wrong and justifying something. A bad outcome does not mean there were unjust acts or criminal minds at work.

And before you ask, altering notes without clearly indicating name, date and reason for change and falsifying notes, destroying notes to cover up facts etc are deliberate unethical and illegal acts

I asked for access to my GP records. I was informed that I could not have access for 8 weeks. I asked why. I was told that they would be edited in case there was anything in there that would upset me. Surely under I should be the judge of that?

I have come across this before. Is it the case then that in the NHS, doctors write personal opinions, even something derogatory, on patient notes/records? If so, it this allowed?

Far more often they write stuff like ‘This lovely old lady’. However I try to stick to facts ‘This is lady is 83y of age and still works as a farmer keeping cattle and sheep’

My records say that I'm a racing cyclist. It sounds innocuous enough, but it's not (& never has been) true. It's been put there to make it look like I'm more capable than I am, because I have been complaining of difficulty with exercise.
