How strange. I was only talking about those of us outside of the medical bubble coming knocking recently. Little did I realise how loud that knock was going to be, until I noticed the #doctorsaredickheads hashtag going by...https://twitter.com/C7RKY/status/1053647844282978304 …

I wish there was a production company that had the guts to make a documentary about people/families, who have been let down by the
#NHS. -
Why not write down your (your father's) story, collect some more stories and go to a documentary maker? I've written a book about what happened to me in the Netherlands and found a publisher last week who's going to publish it. I expect it'll cause fury in the Dutch health system
-
You found a publisher? Congrats! So pleased for you. I think the most powerful documentaries are the undercover variety in this regard. Needs someone to focus on exposing the cover ups and fraudulent medical records from behind the scenes. It'd take some doing mind you.
-
Thank you! The plan is to bring it out in English first - maybe as soon as January. And then bring it out in Dutch in the spring. Will keep twitter-friends posted. I agree about the undercover recording. So many times I've wished I had dared to use my phone to film.

How about all the "good" doctors on Twitter?
@doctorcaldwell and@NHSwhistleblowr and@DrUmeshPrabhu and all the rest? How will they fancy joining in with a#DoctorsAreDickheads tag? -
I don't anticipate our conversations will include that hashtag, do you? Not our style. I understand your concerns, but inflammatory as it may be, the fact that it seems to be trending is noteworthy. If only for the sheer volume of feeling it indicates.https://twitter.com/C7RKY/status/1055585014019166208 …

You're right. I bang on about getting people to speak out, and now I'm fussing over their #. Dumb or what? :-) But it's a tag I'll never use.
-
There's no need to use the tag, just get in on the threads and start arguing.
-
You seem full of ideas tonight about what I should be doing.
-
Why are you getting so tetchy? I just think that whilst the tag has rattled their cages it's a golden opportunity to get out there and reel them in. The more of us that challenge what they're saying the better.

That's true. Already happening in fact. ... it just doesn't sit easy with me

It seems to me it's been very helpful, it's got all the clinicians to engage in the debate for a change, instead of just ignoring it.
