A little help please..? Has anyone got any experience of setting up a blog/website through Go Daddy's 'Manged WordPress' offering? Or any thoughts on a better way to go? I've no idea what I'm doing here, so all help gratefully received before it costs me money. Thank you.
Appreciated, thanks anyway. I can already see that WordPress themselves offer 3 paid packages - and even the most expensive business package is £100 cheaper than I've been quoted. With unlimited storage vs a 10gb limit. Hmmm...

I have embedded videos in a free wordpress site. Like anything, it's about you getting to know the software and what you want to achieve. You can embed adverts for small income that offset costs. You have to be comfortable with the budget costs first.

I guess this is going to be a journey? I was rather hoping an obvious plug & play option was going to present itself, but I now think that's looking a little naïve. Baby steps. Thanks again John.

WordPress will involve more learning. If you want more tools/options then you are looking at Wix or Squarespace. GoDaddy is in-between in costs/facilities.

In between doesn't sound like a bad place to be on both fronts. And actually I misquoted the cost comparison with WP previously. Theirs was a single year vs a 2/3 year package. My bad. Think I'm just going to have to bite the bullet and jump in at some point. Sink or swim... :)

It is worth looking at the top end for comparison but it is all trade-offs.
