Of course views all mine. All without prejudice. Just a regular chap after all. Oh...and RT's may equally imply ridicule as endorsement.

Hayden's coroner issued what I call a GFD. A guarantee of future deaths. So insane even the Trust distanced itself from her.https://www.dropbox.com/s/v10731y101z0r2p/Hayden%20Blake%20Nguyen%20-%20Let%20Down%20Before%20and%20After%20Death.pdf?dl=0 …

Every single day of my life I remember how Coroner Radcliffe smirked as she dramatically grabbed her pencil and scribbled off action point 10 of the SUI (individual learnings). A point that was completed a year earlier and a point to this day the Trust stands by as necessary.

Unfortunately only 3 months to prepare and we didn't get transcripts for the inquest back from the coroner's office until the after the expiry date. Coroners are unaccountable.

Inquests are *not for families. If anything, are supposed to serve some abstract ideal of impartial factfinding to feed into Cause of Justice. The PFD duty is a kind of bolt-on & an inherently ineffectual bolt-on @ that. LA funding, rather'n MoJ, also puts them on a side track.pic.twitter.com/Bgi3SYM0bw

I would disagree with that. As both chief coroners have noted: "The family should remain at the heart of the process". If the inquest isnt for the family then there would be no point - just leave it up to the medical examiner & police.pic.twitter.com/t3bQrQJH9V

That's the trouble. After seeing a number of inquests, I'm not sure there *is much point to them, except as an information-gathering forum; but the limitations on the proceedings (especially wrt 'why') mean that they can't themselves deliver justice; & they elongate the process.

And I regret I can't accept that families are 'at the heart of the process', especially where an inquest calls into question the actions of State organisations. Coronial courts were originally set up to serve State interests, & they still do. Family service is, IMO, incidental.

As parents we didn't even get an invite to Hayden's inquest 🙄.. The court had moved to a temp location so it was a last minute rush to find out where we needed to go. Coroner's office promised we would get a reply to our letter within a week. 10 months and counting...

I can barely believe I just read that. You didn't even get an invitation to attend your own son's inquest? I've no experience of inquests, but you don't need any to work out how wrong that is on every level. Disgraceful it can be allowed to happen. So sorry...

Doesn't human rights come into this. Article 8, Right to a Family Life. Family can't be ignored and don't need an invitation as an inquest is open to the public.

Perhaps? I'm not sure tbh. I wasn't really looking at this from a legal perspective. I just had basic human decency in mind.

I independently asserted that @JusticeForHBN's PEWS of 5 was really "only" 4 when his lactate was 7.5 and CO2 10 (respiratory failure) Apparently the parents are a bit upset about that because they argue PEWS of 5 did accurately foreshadow the baby's death. Meh details.. 🤷🏻‍♂️😂
