Robert Francis talks about the definition of 'truly exceptionally bad' re GNM & describes the jury decision as being a 'flaw' in the law. So he doesn't like the idea of the public making a judgement call. Funny, I do! 'Normal' people outside of the medical/legal bubble, I trust.

Me too. Can think of examples where jury has been extraordinarily kind to drs.

I've not really paid attention over the years tbh. But I've read plenty of comment on the subject of judicial deference to clinicians, never mind the generally positive view the public have of 'our' NHS, so not surprised.
